Dick L. Waddups, 77, of Logansport passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7:22 PM in Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born on August 3, 1935 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Mary Elizabeth Knebel Waddups.
He worked for and retired from Exide Battery Factory.
Dick was a 1953 graduate of Grass Creek High School. He was a member of the American Legion Post 60, Eagles Lodge 323, and Tipton Masonic Lodge 33. Dick enjoyed baking, watching IU basketball, Chicago Cubs baseball, Chicago Bear Football, and Indianapolis Colts Football. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Vickie Waddups, and Julie (Mike) McCloskey both of Logansport; three grandchildren, Brooke Waddups, Christopher McCloskey, and Kayla McCloskey, all of Logansport; three sisters, June Campbell, Nancy Gordon, Logansport; and Sue Fellers of Kewanna; brother, Chuck (Ruth Ann) Waddups, Logansport; three sister in laws, Liz Waddups, Arlene Waddups, and Barb Waddups, all of Logansport; and ex wife Diane Waddups of Logansport.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ronald, Art, Dale, Murl, and Tom Waddups, as well as two sisters, Marie Benn and Eileen Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jay McKinley officiating. Burial will be in Grass Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 8:00 PM Monday, February 4, 2013 also in the Funeral Home.
