Dixie Upton

Dixie Rose Upton, 59, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at 5:40 am at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Peru, Indiana.

Dixie was born September 14, 1956 in Logansport, Indiana, the daughter of Junior Lawrence and Rose (Mullett) Allen.  She was married to Michael Upton.

Dixie attended Logansport School Corporation.  Throughout her life she worked at United Technologies with her mother.  She loved swimming and family gatherings as a child.  In her teen years she spent a large amount of time at Nick’s Roller Rink and loved to skate with friends.  After marriage she enjoyed dancing and socializing with friends.

In addition to her husband, Mike, she is survived by three sons: Larry John Upton, Sterling, Colorado; Joshua Upton, Pendleton, Indiana; Christopher Upton (Meagan Trotti), Kokomo, Indiana; daughter in law, Katurah Mims Upton and two granddaughters, Autumn and Angelina.

Dixie was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial dinner will be held Saturday, November 7 ^th at 3 pm at the First Baptist Church, 207 S Sycamore, Galveston, Indiana for family and friends to visit with her mother and son.  Please RSVP is you plan to attend at 870-926-2164.
