Donald E. Duddy, 82, Logansport, died at 9:16 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born July 25, 1928, in Monticello, he was the son of Floyd and Irene Guy Duddy. He was married Nov. 26, 1950, in Logansport, to Beverly Gene Baker, who preceded in death on Aug. 26, 1988.
Don retired in 1990 from Conrail Railroad after 40 years of service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 60. Don had previously attended Calvary Presbyterian Church. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing, especially his trips to Minnesota.
Surviving are daughter, Terrie VanSoest and husband, Brian, Logansport; son, Donald Joe Duddy and wife, Kristy, Elkhart; five grandchildren, Korby Duddy and wife, Christa, Elkhart, Lt. Kasey Duddy and wife, Melanie, Holly Ridge, N.C., Klinton Duddy, Elkhart, Ryan C. Jones and wife, Margie, Lafayette, and Erin Noakes and husband, Bill, Logansport; three great-grandchildren, Karter Duddy, Emily Grace Duddy and Isabelle Noakes; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Mankell officiating.
Burial, with military rites, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
