Donald H. Elliott, 85, Logansport, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born Dec. 26, 1924, in Cass County, he was the son of Albert Elliott and Dora Bassler. He was married Nov. 2, 1979, in Greensburg to Cletha A. Bagwell Rossi.

A 1943 graduate of Lucerne High School, Don was a retired farmer and had also retired from the Conrail Railroad.

He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Don was also a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Cletha A. Elliott, Logansport; sons, Donald H. “Buz” Elliott Jr. and wife, Patti, Frankfort, and David Elliott and wife, Susie, Flora; daughters, Darlene Scales and husband, Bob, Englewood, Fla., Donna Quain and husband, Michael, Terre Haute, and Dyanna Elliott, Indianapolis; son-in-law, Gary McLeland, Logansport; stepson, Michael Rossi, Logansport; stepdaughter, Lynn Burton and husband, Jeff, Royal Center; brothers, Lester W.

Elliott and wife, Roberta, Lucerne, and George Elliott, Paoli; sister, Helen Mae Lucas and husband, John, Colorado Springs, Colo.; half sister, Maude Thompson, Logansport; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Darla McLeland; half brother; three sisters; and two brothers.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Revs. Keith Schreffler and Tom DeFries officiating.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lucerne.

Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and American Diabetes Association.
