Services for Donald Deane Moss, 83, Twelve Mile, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 6:05 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, in his residence.
Born April 17, 1923, in Cass County, he was the son of Grover and Ruth Sullivan Moss. He was married June 24, 1945, in Miami Baptist Church, to Helen L. Patton, who survives.
Mr. Moss retired in 1986 after 24 years as a cost accountant for Switches Inc.
He was a member of Twelve Mile United Methodist Church and charter member of the Twelve Mile Lions Club. Deane was a Past Trustee of Adams Township and a former Trustee of Logansport Memorial Hospital.
He was a 1941 graduate of Twelve Mile High School and attended Indiana Business College. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S.
Army Air Corps during World War II, stationed in England with the 8th Air Force as a togglier on the B-17 Bombers, flying 33 missions.
Deane was also the former owner of the Twelve Mile Hardware.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeff Moss and his wife, Wanda, and Dennis Moss and his wife, Bonnie, all of Twelve Mile; one daughter, Peggy Dague and her husband, Jim, Kewanna; grandchildren, Wade Moss and his wife, Deborah, Michael Moss and his wife, Kristie, Elizabeth Thomas and her husband, Brent, Sarah Pinkerton and her husband, Jacob, Andy Dague and his wife, Janet, and Julie Dague; two sisters, Laura Kantzer, Twelve Mile, and Elsie Spangler, Fulton; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dague, preceded in death.
Pastors Terri White and Michael Thompson will officiate at the services. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and one hour before services Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Twelve Mile Christmas Pageant.
