Donald R. Nicoll

September 22, 1927 - July 23, 2013

Donald R. Nicoll, 85, of Lucerne, passed away at 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in his residence.

Don was born September 22, 1927 in Logansport to the Late Alexander and Abigail (Rouch) Nicoll. On August 5, 1951 in Lucerne, IN Don married Mary Jo Brandt who survives.

Don was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Cross Wind United Methodist Church, Lucerne Lions Club and the V.F.W. Post #3790. He was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Other survivors include two daughters, Beth (Tim) Miller, Rochester, Tammie Nicoll, Fort Wayne; one son, Stephen (Karen) Nicoll, Lucerne; one sister, Vivian Roller, LaFountain; one brother, Alfred Nicoll, MN; three grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy) Covanes, Houston, TX, Justin (Maryann) Miller, Rochester, Brett (Jacqueline) Miller, Bloomington; five great grandchildren, Isaac and Eli Nicoll, Kaylee and Charleigh Covanes and Jacob Miller.
One grandson, Aaren Nicoll, seven brothers and three sisters, preceded in death

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, July 27, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory, with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of services on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the Lucerne Lions Club.
