Donald R. Quinn, 77, of Logansport, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at his residence.
He was born May 2, 1930, in Logansport, to Walter R. Quinn and Frona Foster Quinn.
On Feb. 9, 1951, he married Ruth L. Wertz in Kokomo, and she survives.
He retired in 1985, after 40 years as an iron worker.
Mr. Quinn was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict; member and past commander of American Legion Post 60; past president of Cass County Veterans Council; member and past Chef DeGare of 40 & 8 Voiture 729; life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 3790; Tipton Masonic Lodge 33; Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne; Murat Temple of Indianapolis; member and past president of Logansport Shrine Club; member of Hillbillies Hoosier Clan 14, Outhouse 3; Ironworkers Local Union 379 in Lafayette; Logansport Bridge City Squares; life member of Indiana Dancer's Association and Anoka United Methodist Church.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Cynde Foust (husband: Mark) of Logansport and Suzann Burkhart (husband: Rob) of New Carlisle; and son, Tim Quinn (wife: Sue) of Logansport.
Also surviving are grandsons, Russel & James Foust, Benjamin Quinn & Donovan Burkhart; granddaughter, Maggie Quinn; 2 great-grandchildren, Katelynn Foust & Cail Brown. Two sisters & one brother preceded in death. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, with Masonic Services at 7 p.m., followed by a Shriners Processional. Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the funeral home, the Rev. Rob Nelson officiating. Interment Rock Creek Cemetery, Logansport, with full military graveside rites. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
