Donald "Charlie" Berkshire

Donald Robert “Charlie” Berkshire, 82 of Macy, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on August 28, 1937 in Cass County, Indiana, he is the son to the late Wilbur and Mary (Floyd) Berkshire.  On November 30, 1985 in Royal Center, he married Judy A. James who preceded in death on April 4, 2019.

Charlie had worked for RCA in Monticello and Dye Lumber. He was a graduate of Royal Center High School.

Surviving is a sister, Carolyn Sue Anderson and companion Tom Shriver, New Waverly; two step sons, Scott (Christine) Benson, Greentown; Andrew (Joanna) Benson, Fairfield, OH; two step daughters, Tracy Benson, Indianapolis; Jerri (Tony) Hayes, Fort Wayne; sister in law, Rennatta Berkshire, Brookston, IN; grandson, Andrew J. Berkshire; several nieces and nephews.

Charlie was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Berkshire and one brother, Jerry Berkshire.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. David J. Smith officiating. Burial with full Military graveside rites will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service on Saturday.
