Donnabelle Hinkle, 83 of Logansport, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013, at 10:21 PM at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Born July 20, 1930, in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Mae (Blackburn) Swank. On July 3, 1958, she was married to Kenneth L. Hinkle who preceded her in death on October 29, 2005.

Donnabelle worked at R.B.M, County Cousins Children's Wear, and as a cook at Caston School Corporation. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Cass Plaza Apartments and the McKinney House. In her spare time she enjoyed playing euchre and bingo. Anyone who visited with her would have had the opportunity to share in her jigsaw puzzle endeavors.

Surviving is one daughter, Bonnie (Denny) Moss, Twelve Mile; three sons, Kenny (Patty) Shaffer, Royal Center; Keith Shaffer and Companion Wendi Miller, Jamestown, PA; James (Teresa) Hinkle, Twelve Mile; eight grandchildren, Kyle (Marie) Shaffer, Frankfort, IN; Kevin Shaffer & Fiancé Allison Coe, Lafayette; Noah Hinkle, Twelve Mile; Elizabeth (Brent) Thomas, Akron; Sarah Moss, Logansport; Randi Shaffer, Colony, TX; Robye Shaffer, Royse City, TX; Jamie Shaffer, Rochester; five sisters, Joyce (Bob) Miller Royal Center; Kathryn Caldwell, Galveston; Etta (Ralph) Byers, Camden; Ruth Swank and Nina (Dick) Holle, both of Logansport; three brothers, Gene (Carol) Swank, Galveston; Robert (Bonnie) Swank, Shiloh, NJ; Jerry (Kathy) Swank, Mooresville, NC; five great grandchildren, Olivia Thomas, Gage Thomas, Hadley Shaffer, Ellis Shaffer, Rilye Shaffer; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John Swank.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Metea Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Cordes officiating. Burial will be in Metea Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, October 7, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Metea Baptist Church.
