Doris Anne Packard-Ealy

Doris Anne Packard-Ealy, age 88, of Logansport, passed away Saturday Dec. 16, 2023, in Ascension St. Joseph Hospital of Kokomo, IN.
Born September 15, 1935, in Cass County, IN to the late Earl M. and Emma E. (Mayhew) Samuels. On September 20, 1952, she married Gareth “Gary” Packard who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 2007. On Sept. 4, 2021, in Miami Baptist Church she married Joe Ealy who survives.
Doris retired in 1999 as a custodian for the Logansport School Corp. She was a faithful member of the Miami Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Joe, one daughter, Debra A. (Bill) Shepler, Logansport, IN; two sons, David A. (Jan) Packard, Logansport, IN; Thomas A. (Terry) Packard, Clarksville, TN; three step daughters, Glenda (Jeff) Linkenhelt, Galveston, IN; Teri (Gary) Schultz, Kokomo, IN; Rhonda (Brent) Blinn, Galveston, IN; one brother, Richard “Dick” Samuels, Logansport, IN; sister-in-law, Karla Samuels,  21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Doris was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harry Samuels and Roger Samuels.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday Dec. 21, 2023, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Weaver officiating and a burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of services on Thursday at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
