Dorothy Ballinger

Services for Dorothy M. Ballinger, 95, Logansport, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, in Wesley Manor, Frankfort.

Born Sept. 14, 1912, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Parker and Edna Coffman Beall. She was married May 2, 1936, in Logansport, to Claude G. Ballinger, who preceded in death Dec. 17, 1997.

A 1930 graduate of Logansport High School, Dorothy retired in 1955 after 20 years as secretary for the Eel Township Trustee’s Office. She also was a former clerk at J.C. Penney’s.

Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers preceded in death.

The Rev. Bill Shannon will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call two hours before services Wednesday in the funeral home.
