Dorothy Camp

LOGANSPORT — Dorothy E. Camp, 85, Logansport, died at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, in her niece’s home.

Born Feb. 15, 1926, in Logansport, she was the daughter of George J. and Emma Faye Reynolds Weaver. She was married Oct. 21, 1945, in Logansport, to Eugene S. Camp, who preceded in death Aug. 1, 1968.

Dorothy retired in 1987 after 42 years with Essex Wire Co.

She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed the company of family and friends.

Surviving are sister, Mildred Starkey, Logansport; one niece, raised like a daughter, Peggy Camp Hayden and husband, Bill, Logansport; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with Pastor Ryan Lewellen officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
