Dorothy Huffman

Dorothy A. Huffman, age 100, of Logansport, passed away at 1:22 AM Friday, May 31, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Born June 7, 1912 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Arbie D. and Lena (Albrecht) Schlosser. On March 5, 1932 in Terre Haute, she married Francis I. Huffman who preceded in death on October 5, 1985.

Dorothy employment included work at Olson's Department Store, H.W. Gossard Company and the EEL Township Trustee's Office.

She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church for over fifty years.

Surviving Dorothy is one daughter, Mildred (Daniel) Kniesly, Logansport; daughter in law, Lois Huffman, Valley Center, CA; five grandchildren, Beth Wireman, Royal Center; Ann Beem, Missouri; Lisa Dunlap, California; Richard Huffman, California; Michael Huffman, Utah;eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert R. Huffman, and three sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, June 8, 2013 in the Calvary Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Mankell & Rev. Richard Utterback officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. A private burial will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cass County Relay For Life, or Calvary Presbyterian Church.
