Douglas P. Dahlenburg, 81, Logansport, died at 4:08 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 10, 1930, in Monticello, he was the son of George Dahlenburg and Delpha Elston.
He was married Jan. 30, 1954, to Arlene Faker, and she preceded him in death March 30, 1986. He was married Jan. 29, 1970, to June (Roadifer) Roudebush, and she preceded him in death February 23, 2007.
He retired from NIPSCO after 37 years of service as a field operator at the underground storage facility in Royal Center.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of American Legion Post 60 and a lifetime member of V.F.W. 1728 in Winamac. Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.
Survivors include sons, David (Amy) Dahlenburg, Fountaintown, Mark (Trish) Dahlenburg, Lafayette, Lon (Judy) Roudebush, Royal Center, and Rock Roudebush, Star City; daughters, Linda (Walt) Branson, Fort Wayne, Mary Kay (Don) Towne, Rochester, Bryn Zellers, Winamac, Troy (Robin) Hegge, Sundance, Wyo., and Heidi (Brian) Jones, Melbourne, Fla.; sister, Lucille (Herb) Fisher, Brookston, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Joe Dahlenburg and Tad Roudebush, and two sisters, Audrey Barlow and Beulah Carlisle.
A graveside service with full military graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.
