Dwight Sherman, 83 of Logansport, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 in his daughters residence in Russiaville, IN.

Born on October 14, 1933 in Carroll County, IN, he was the son of the late Calvin and Alta Mae (Gaumer) Sherman. On September 28, 1952 in Royal Center, Indiana he married Deloris R. Arion who preceded in death on January 7, 2013.

Dwight was a 1951 graduate of Delphi High School. He retired as a tool and die maker from Federal Mogul after working there for 32 years. Dwight was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.  He loved to travel in his RV and enjoyed spending with his family.

Surviving are two daughters, Pamela (David) Snyder, Russiaville; Stephanie M. (Jason) Gladney, Valparaiso, IN; son, John Michael (Desiree) Sherman, Eugene, OR; ten grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, and Jarrod Sherman, Allen Snyder, Mellissa Kuhn, Megan Miles, Jason, Aiden, Gwyneth, and Gavin Gladney; sixteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park,  Logansport.

Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Tuesday.
