Services for Edith Irene Young, 77, Logansport, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel.
She passed away at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, in her residence.
Born Oct. 23, 1931, in White County, she was the daughter of Floyd Carlson and Edna Washburn. She was married on Feb. 14, 1953, in Royal Center, to James G. Young, who survives.
Edith retired as a manager from Diversified Federal Credit Union.
In 1950, she graduated from Royal Center High School. She was a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are two sons, David Allen Young and wife Jenny, Logansport, and James Arthur Young, Indianapolis; a sister, Susan Ann Watson and husband Eric, El Paso, Texas; six granddaughters, Nicole Burnett and husband Travis, Kokomo, Angie Young, Belle, Mo., Paula Watson, Indianapolis, Jill Bouillon and husband Ryan, New Jersey, Lisa Watson, El Paso, Texas, Tammy Spencer, Logansport; a grandson, Michael Spencer and wife Rachael, Peru; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
The Rev. George Plasterer will officiate. Burial will take place in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the chapel.
Gundrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cross-Wind United Methodist Church Building Fund, American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association.
