Edna Sue DeHaven, 83, of Logansport, passed away at 1:45 am Sunday September 23, 2018.
Born September 21, 1935 in Knoxville, TN to Alvin and Zora A. Cox (Dodgem) Brewer. ON August 20, 1964 in Fort Wayne, IN she married Gordon “Jug” DeHaven who preceded her in death on December 28, 1988.
Sue retired from the Logansport State Hospital working in the dietary department. She was also the former owner of Fore Corner’s Café. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, was an avid Harry Potter fan, avid bowler and enjoyed her dogs.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Sommers, Indianapolis; three sons, Keith “Shorty” Woodruff, James (Linda) Woodruff both of Logansport; Timothy Woodruff, Indianapolis; two step sons, Gordon Charles DeHaven, Norman, OK; Richard DeHaven, Jacksonville, FL; one step daughter, Myra Lincoln, Sesser, IL; several grandchildren, several step grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Three sisters, three brothers, twin daughters, Brenda Joyce and Linda Marie Woodruff, have preceded her in death.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5 – 7 PM Thursday September 27, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
