Edward L. "Butch" Clem, 82, of Logansport, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 in his residence.
Born January 19, 1932 in Cass County, he was the son of the late Harold Richard and Marie (Snyder) Clem. On September 12, 1986 in Logansport he married Rose M. Boller who survives.
Butch worked as a mechanic for Superior Parts Inc. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Butch was an avid fisherman, he also enjoyed riding motorcycles, woodworking and repairing vehicles. In his later years Butch was a driver delivering parts for a local auto salvage yard. He was a jack of all trades, and could fix anything.
Surviving along with his wife Rose are two daughters, Lynn Fickle (Dave Shrock), Peru; Kayanne Murray, Rochester; four sons, Jim Clem; Don (Mary) Clem; John (Terri) Clem, all of Logansport; Tom (Lisa) Clem, Philippines; step daughter, Rheta Murry, Tennessee; three step sons, Mike (Sarita) Schoenradt, Kokomo; Tom (Noemi ) Schoenradt; Mick (Bethany) Schoenradt, both of Logansport; grandchildren, Bobbi Sopher; Freedom (Mary) Miller; Nicole (Paul) Beverly; Jacob & Jordyn Myers; Jarod Murray; Jamie Joe Clem; Billy Jo (Shane) Cripe; Amy (Jon-Myckle) Price; Alex & Evan Clem; Ryan & Derek Clem; Jordan, Jacob & Madyson Clem; Nathan Murry; Gene Schoenradt; Michael Schoenradt; Breanna Schoenradt; Madelynn & Emily Schoenradt; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard "Barney" (Marcella) Clem; Merle "Ronch" (Bonnie) Clem, both of Logansport; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Allen Clem; daughter, Susan Clem; four brothers, John, Roy, Al, and Mike Clem; and two sisters, Helen Murphy and Betty Wheeler.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jay McKinley officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2014 also in the funeral home.
