Edward "Leon" "Red" "Red Lion" Hartman, 63, Kokomo, died at 6:40
p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Howard Community Hospital. He was
born Jan. 14, 1948, in Logansport, to Edward Abraham Hartman and
Waneta Clear. He married Sharon Starkey on April 11, 1991, in
Logansport.
He was self-employed. Mr. Hartman was a member of the Disciples
of Christ Church in Kokomo, a former member of REACT and an
ordained minister.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Hartman, Kokomo; mother,
Waneta Hartman, Camden; sons, Raymond Hartman and wife
Rhythm, Logansport, and Nick Moss, Logansport; daughter, Michelle
Clark, Logansport; stepson, Tracey Starkey, Kokomo; seven
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Kaldahl and
husband Dr. Mark, Mississippi, Rita Weiand and husband James,
Flora, and Susan Eiler and husband Ed, Delphi; and several nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 E.
Broadway, Logansport, with Bishop Woodral officiating. Visitation is
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
