Edwin Paul âDutchâ Gangloff, 81, Logansport, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, in his residence.
Born Feb. 9, 1928, in Camden, he was the son of Omer and Florence Hinkle Gangloff. He was married Nov. 5, 1949, in Faith Lutheran Church, to Olive E. Bowman, who survives.
Ed worked 40 years as a conductor on the Conrail Railroad. He was also a retired farmer.
He was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge 33, Murat Shrine of Indianapolis and Logansport Shrine Club. Ed was also a member of Yorktown Road Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Olive E. Gangloff, Logansport; daughters, Donna Eckelbarger, Peru, Debi Shinholt and husband, Jim, and Carol Mund, all of Logansport; son, David Gangloff, Logansport; sister-in-law, Mary Gangloff, Logansport; six grandchildren, Jeff Rose and wife, Kelly, Mark Rose and wife, Julia, Kyle Mullens, Neil Mullens and wife, Cher, Christina Reyburn, Patrician Morrow and husband, Adam; stepgrandson, Steven Shinholt and wife, Mandy; stepgranddaughter, Nikki Shank and husband, Justin; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Gangloff.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Woodall officiating.
Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Shriners walk by.
