Eleanor M. Hardy, 88, of Camden, passed away at 11:40 am, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Memorial Hospital, Logansport.

Born February 23, 1925 in Cerra Gorda, IL, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Emma (Deahl) Weiland. On September 1, 1948 in Camden, she married John "Alec" Hardy who preceded her in death on February 15, 1995.

Eleanor worked for RBM for 10 years before retiring and wintering in Florida with her husband.

Eleanor was a member of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, and gardening. She was especially known for baking her pies.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Bill) Dyke, Camden; JoEllen Hardy, Logansport; two sons, David Hardy, Monticello; William A. Hardy and companion Sue Smith, Camden; two grandsons, Bryan (Nikki) Hardy, and Chris (Jennifer) Dyke, both of Camden; two granddaughters, Kendra (Michael) Winegardener, and Stephany (Michael) Prather, both of Walton; great grandhchildren, Courtney & Mason Winegardener, Oliver & Leah Hardy, Madison Dyke, and Grant Prather.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Weiland and Dorothy Huff, and one brother, Willard "Bud" Weiland.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 22, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Eleanors lifelong neighbor Rev. Paul Marcellino officiating. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday, July 21, 2013 also in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, Logansport Memorial Hospital Foundation, or the Shrine Guilds of America Education Fund.
