Eleanor Marie Purdue, 82, Logansport, passed away at 10:46 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Greensburg to Stafford Bewley and Elizabeth Robbins.
Eleanor was married Nov. 22, 1947, in Crawfordsville, to Donald L.
Purdue, who preceded in death Oct. 22, 1989.
She retired as an assistant librarian at the Logansport Public Library.
Eleanor was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Hoosier Heartland American Needle Work Guild. Eleanor enjoyed bird watching, traveling, watching sports and needle work.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Bussell and husband, William, North Vernon; three grandchildren, Lisa Shanabarger, Dustin Peterson and wife, Cora, and Chad Bussell and wife, Heather; and two great-grandchildrenm, Mariah Shanabarger and Shyan Shanabarger.
One daughter, Marcia A. Peterson, preceded her in death.
Services are 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with the Rev. Teal Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Shideler Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cass County Special Olympics.
