Elizabeth J. Baker, 92, Logansport, passed away at Wellbrooke of Westfield in Westfield, Indiana on Monday, June 29, 2015.

Born October 18, 1922 in Carroll County, she was the daughter to the late Earl Lawrence and Ruby Mabel (Slusser) Harmon.

On October 18, 1947 in Logansport she married Harvey R. Baker who preceded in death May 2, 2009.

Elizabeth retired from General Telephone after 28 years of service.

Liz was a former volunteer at the Mental Health association and received the Bell Award in 1991 for volunteering for the cause of health. In 1996 she received the Pharos Tribune Good Neighbor Awad.  She enjoyed reading and cooking for her family. She was very proud to have traveled to Hawaii on ten different occasions and would also travel with her husband to Las Vegas on several occasions.

Survivors include one son, Larry L. (Jill) Stienbarger, Logansport, IN; two daughters, Diane K. Stienbarger, Westfield, IN; Beverly A. (Bill) Kranz, Carmel, IN; one one sister, June (Ed) Munson, Logansport, IN;  two grandchildren, Chris E. Stienbarger, Logansport, IN; Kyle W. (Kristin) Kranz, Fishers, IN; one step grandson, Nathan (Amanda) Grubb, West Lebanon, IN; one step great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and a special friend, Joe Morone of Westfield.

Seven brothers , four sisters and one granddaughter, have preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday July 6, 2015 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Dean Snyder officiating. A private burial will be held in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, IN.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until time of services on Monday at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
