Services for Elsie M. Shoup, 69, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born July 9, 1939, in Winamac, she was the daughter of Jesse and Kathryn Sera Button. She was married Sept. 7, 1958, in Metea Baptist Church, to Robert L. Shoup, who survives.
She retired from Elco-Textron in 2004.
Elsie was a member of Metea Baptist Church and was 1957 graduate of Fulton High School. She was a deaconess of Metea Baptist Church. Elsie enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards.
Also surviving are daughters, Joyce Shoup, Lucerne, and Janet Ousley and husband, Micheal, Huntington; son, Jeff Shoup, South Bend; sisters, Virginia Gohn and husband, Eldon, Rochester, and Lois Brandon and husband, Jeff, Winamac; brother, Donnie Button and wife, Sharon, Kewanna; granddaughter, Katherine Turner and husband, Matt, Orlando, Fla.; and grandson, Kyle Ousley, Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by one daughter.
Dr. Carl Malmgren will officiate. Burial will be in Metea Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
