Elvie Edge

Elvie M. Edge, 66, Logansport, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, in Seaton Hospital, Lafayette.

Born Sept. 22, 1944, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Dwight and Zurtha Minner Humerickhouse. She was married Nov. 17, 1967, in Paris, Ill., to Warren M. Edge, who preceded in death April 11, 1998.

Elvie retired in 2005 after 43 years of employment with the Logansport State Hospital.

She enjoyed reading, going out with friends and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are daughter, Stacey Edge, Logansport; sons, Steven Edge, and Ryan Edge and wife, Gretchen, all of Logansport; brother, Dwight Humerickhouse and wife, Connie, Macy; sister, Grace Sweet and husband, Ron, Logansport; five grandchildren, Alana, Stephanie, Warren, Gabriel and Vivian Edge; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Mankell officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
