Ersal Armstrong

Services for Ersal B. Armstrong, 87, Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, in her residence.

Born March 26, 1920, in Portland, she was the daughter of Edgar S. and Hazel Quickle Hellyer. She was married Sept. 3, 1938, in Newport, Ky., to Glen B. Armstrong, who preceded in death March 31, 1968.

Ersal was a retired cook for Eagles Lodge 323. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church.

Surviving are stepson, Edgar S. Hellyer, Tulsa, Okla.; son-in-law, Ted Fanning, Kokomo; sister, Alberta Leslie, Logansport; four grandchildren, Fred Fanning, Fredericksburg, Va., Debra Gilsinger, Peru, Jeff Fanning, Kokomo, and Alice Landon, Walton; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, eight sisters, and one stepdaughter, Glenda Fanning, preceded in death.

Rev. William Art Maloney will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
