Eva Lou Fouts
Services for Eva Lou Fouts, 86, Galveston, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, 4450 N. Ind. 29, Deer Creek.
She died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, in her home.
Born July 13, 1920, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Cora Flora Sibbitt. She was married Sept. 8, 1940, in Flora to Tom âCaptain Stubbyâ Fouts, who preceded in death May 24, 2004.
A 1938 graduate of Carrollton High School, Eva attended Purdue University and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Deer Creek I Home Economics, and a member of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.
Eva enjoyed spending time with her family, flowers, birds and nature. She traveled the world with her husband. She also was an avid college basketball fan.
Surviving are one son, Dan Fouts and his wife, Beth, Galveston; one daughter, Connie Livingston and her husband, Tom, LaGrange, Ill.; one brother, Charles E. Sibbitt and his wife, Margaret, Bringhurst; one sister, Mary Ann Markley and her husband, Chuck, Flora; one brother-in-law, William Fouts and his wife, Doris, Galveston; one daughter-in-law, Patricia McCammack, Delphi; grandchildren, Kurtis Fouts and his wife, Karen, Bringhurst, Kendra Bielefeld and her husband, Ron, Sebastian, Fla., Thomas Livingston and his wife, Casey, LaGrange, Ill., Pamela Livingston, Washington, D.C., Amy Phillips and her husband, Joey, Camden, and Lisa Fouts, Galveston; great-grandchildren, Ryan Bielefeld, Anna Bielefeld, Will Livingston and Avery Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Dr. Thomas L. Fouts, and one grandson, Kevin G. Fouts, preceded in death.
The Rev. Charles Compton will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
