Eva Virginia Ulery, 85, Logansport, died at 1:47 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, in her daughterâs residence in Lafayette.
Born Sept. 22, 1924, in Lincoln, she was the daughter of William Parker and Edith Cooper Wood. She was married Feb. 19, 1940, in Nead, to Hubert D. Ulery, who preceded in death Aug. 20, 2003.
Eva was a homemaker. She was a member of Church of the Brethren, where she was a deaconess for many years, and a president of Ladies Fellowship. She liked to hunt mushrooms, camp, work jigsaw puzzles, crochet and sew.
Surviving are daughters, Dixie Linback and husband John, Walkerton, Anita Campbell and husband Bill, Logansport, and Pat Cox and husband Bob, Lafayette; sister, Marge Foster, Tracy, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Bud Wood, Orville Wood, Kenneth Wood and Dick Wood; two sisters, Helen Burket and Wilma Widner; and one great-grandson, Baby Billy.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Aaron Gross officiating.
Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour before services Monday at the church.
