Evelyn L. Boehme, 86, Logansport, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, April
22, 2010, in Bennett Switch. She was born Oct. 24, 1923, in
Logansport, to Herbert and Eva (Vernon) Rhoades. On May 7, 1955,
in Kewanna, she married Morris E. Boehme, who preceded in death
March 10, 1979.
She retired in 1986 from Logansport State Hospital after 35 years as
attendant supervisor. She attended the First United Methodist
Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sally Barnard and husband Harold,
Kokomo; stepson, Morris Joe Boehme and wife Rosemarie,
Levinworth, Kan.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild; two brothers;
and one sister.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Galveston Cemetery.
The Rev. Marvin Lamb will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, assisted the family with
arrangements.
