Evelyn Joan Fry, 78, Logansport, passed away at 8:43 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 2, 1931, Mishawaka, she was the daughter of Fred Demske and Viola Locke. On Sept. 1, 1962, in Mishawaka, she married Boyd E. âBudâ Fry, who survives.
Evelyn retired in 1991 after 19 years with National Friction Company.
She enjoyed gardening and watching Notre Dame football.
Also surviving are son, Kenneth R. Frye and wife Mary, Burnettsville; step-son, Allen Fry and wife Cindy, Ava, Ill.; step-daughter, Ella Roeder and husband Tom, Holly, Mich.; sisters, Virginia DeVore, Denver, Colo., and Agnes Kronewitter and husband Frank, Mishawaka; brothers, Fred Demske and wife Barbara, Oceola, and Leonard Demske and wife Alice, Demotte; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by son, Robert E. Frye; step-son, Thomas D. Fry; and brother, Donald âPeteâ Demske.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home. Pastors Nick Jacobson and William Art Maloney will officiate.
Burial will take place in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
