Everon A. Watson Jr.

Services for Everon A. Watson Jr., 65, Burnettsville, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Rehoboth Christian Center, 200 E. Columbia St. in Logansport.

He died at 6:05 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.

Born July 11, 1943, in Monticello, he was the son of Everon Sr. and Elizabeth Connell Watson.

He worked at RBM for 32 years.

Mr. Watson enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He was a member of the American Hunting Club and National Rifle Association, and he also spent four years in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are daughters, Jody Leffert and husband, Mick, and Michelle Feltis and husband, Chris, all of Logansport, and Faith Staut and husband, Paul, Georgia; son, Danny Watson, Burnettsville; grandsons, Drew Downhour, Logansport, and Derrick Watson, Alex Watson and Matthew Watson, all of Illinois; granddaughters, Brooke Downhour, Ashlee Feltis, Jennifer Feltis and Bailey Leffert, all of Logansport; and brothers, Frank Watson and Ernie Watson, both of Burnettsville.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, William and James Watson; and two sisters, Cathleen and Bessie Watson.

Pastor Richard Conrad will officiate. Following the funeral there will be military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
