Services for Frances E. Davis-Meyer, 90, Logansport, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 2:16 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, in Chase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Logansport.
Born Aug. 16, 1918, in Logansport, she was the daughter of William Jones and Daisy Calloway. She was married Aug. 18, 1938, in Logansport, to Wilbur G. âBudâ Davis, who preceded in death Nov. 9, 1979, and in 1985, to Edwin Meyer.
Frances retired from General Tire, worked as nurseâs aide at St. Joseph Hospital, Logansport, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and elderly care.
She was a member of the former Market Street United Methodist Church and Golden Agers. She was a loving mother and grandmother who took great pride in her family. She was a past president and very active in PTA at Longfellow School. She loved spending winters in Eustis, Fla., where she participated in a kitchen band and ballroom dancing.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara Dingeldein and husband, Jerry, and Susie Cox and husband, Richie, all of Logansport; son, Brad Davis and wife, Jaynie, Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren, Wendy Dingeldein Waltz, Logansport, Kelly Cox, Burlington, Brock (Jenni) Cox, Ohio, Heidi Cox (Doug) Lucy and Brandi Cox (Brad) Rozzi, Logansport; Eric (Eleanor) Cox, Wisconsin; Mike, Gus, and Elise Davis, Indianapolis, and the late Robbie Dingeldein; eight great-grandchildren, Mavrick Waltz, Logansport, Gabe and Ella Lucy, Lillian Cox, Wisconsin, Colin and Kyle Rozzi, Logansport, and Monica and Bennie Cox, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Robbie Dingeldein; two brothers, Stanton and Casey Jones Sr.; nieces, Jean Snider and Joan Davis; and nephews, Jack Davis and Bill Jones.
Dr. Horace Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Star City West Cemetery, Star City.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
