Frances Eileen (Rehm) Miller was born in Logansport on March 14, 1920, to the late Otto and Flossie (Prescott) Rehm. She was second of three daughters.
She was a 1938 graduate of Logansport High School. In June it was 75 years since her high school graduation.
Frances was a private secretary to nine different plant managers of The General Tire and Rubber Company, for thirty years. She enjoyed her work and made many lifelong friends.
She was a 67 year member of the Main Street United Methodist Church where she was very active for many years.
Frances was a kind, loving, Christian lady who always enjoyed the laughter and good times with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She played the piano "by ear" and entertained her daughters with the "old songs". Her three favorite hymns were "The Old Rugged Cross", "In the Garden , and What a Friend We Have In Jesus.
Frances lived with her daughter, Marsha, after having a stroke. Marsha and Frances have always shared a best of friends relationship.
In June, 2012, she moved to the Woodbridge Health Campus due to her failing health.
Frances took Jesus' hand, and rejoined her family in heaven on September 30, 2013 at 9:20 pm.
Survivors include her daughter, Marsha "Marty" Miller Scott, and her four dearly loved grandchildren; Terri Cory Romanyk, Indianapolis; Mark (Jan) Scott, Kokomo; Christy Cory Gaby, Indianapolis; Julie Scott-Jackson and Husband Rob Jackson, Fishers; eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Also surviving are her caring son in law, Karl Cory, and special nieces and nephews; Jill Scheetz Williams, Indianapolis; Jody Scheetz Conover, Indianapolis; Tom (Jodene) Scheetz, Logansport; and four great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her daughter, Bonnie Miller Cory, and her great granddaughter, Abby Frances Smith.
Frances also had two sisters and brothers in laws who preceded her in death, Ellen and Rudy Rammel; Mary Cathryn Kakey and Joe Scheetz.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 4, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastors Bill Collins and Damon Soper officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, also in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Church.
