Services for Frank C. Richter, 79, (Fulton) Rochester, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Fulton Baptist Temple Church in Fulton.
He died at 3:05 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2008, in Life Care Center of Rochester.
Born Dec. 21, 1928, in Fulton County, he was the son of Ernest P. and Jennie A. Gundrum Richter. He was married May 3, 1952, in Deer Creek, to Rita C. Dietz, who preceded in death Dec. 27, 1998.
Mr. Richter was a retired farmer.
He attended Fulton Baptist Temple, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of VFW Post 1343, American Legion Post 36, Moose Lodge 1107, Eagles 852, and a 1946 graduate of Fulton High School, where he played basketball for the Fulton Bulldogs.
Surviving are son, Curt A. Richter and wife, Sue, Fulton; daughters, Cindy Rentschler and husband, Hank, Fulton, and Mindy Willis and husband, Mike, Peru; sisters, Helen Brutcher and husband, Frank, Logansport, and Donna Carvey and husband, Dee, Macy; brother, Harry Richter and wife, Dorothy, Rochester; special friend, Evelyn Peters, Kewanna; granddaughters, Laura, Colleen and Christine Rentschler, Fulton, Jennie Konkle and husband, Brad, Fishers, Briana Willis, Peru, and Stephanie Oehler and husband, Ryan, Fort Wayne; grandsons, Jonathan Remley and wife, Tammy, Logansport, Jamison Franklin Remley, Frankfort, Jeremy Remley and wife, Lori, South Bend, Matthew Charles Richter and Kyle Richter, both of Fulton; four great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ross, and one brother, Dean Richter.
The Rev. Bruce Russell will officiate. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Fulton Cemetery, Fulton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour before services Thursday at the church in Fulton.
