Frank J. White, 89, Logansport, died at 9:10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, in his residence.
Born, Dec. 1, 1920, in Royal Center, he was the son of Frank Virgil White and Zola Swisher. He was married Feb. 25, 1940, in Mexico, to Lois Jean White, who preceded in death Sept. 29, 2007.
Frank was an engineer at Logan Machine for 43 years.
He was a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church, and a member of Elks Lodge 66. Frank was a 1938 graduate of Royal Center High School, was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge 33 and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Frank was also a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, where he was the recipient of a Purple Heart.
Surviving are daughters, Kathy Williams and husband, Jeff, Zionsville, and Nancy Rife and husband, Gale, Seminole, Texas; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. George Plasterer and Pastor Andrew Williams officiating.
Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
