Services for Franklin D. Miner, 69, Logansport, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Aug. 1, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa, he was the son of Benjamin Franklin and Averil Marie Douglass Miner. He was married Nov. 30, 1956, in Logansport to Nancy L. Cunningham, who survives.
Mr. Miner retired in 1990 from Exide Battery Corp. after 30 years of service.
He was the manager, treasurer and member of the American Legion Post #60, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3790 and a member and Past Chef de Gare of Voiture #729 40 & 8.
Frank enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War.
Also surviving are his mother, Averil Kolls, Logansport; three daughters, Vicky Pytlik and her husband, Ken, Spring Hill, Fla., Candy Reed and her husband, Kevin, New Harmony, and Robin Rozzi and her husband, C.J., Logansport; two sons, Franklin D. Miner Jr. and his wife, Eva, and Wesley Miner, all of Logansport; three brothers, Russell Miner and his wife, Clara, Mommoth, Ill., Richard Miner, Illinois, and Larry Miner, Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Patricia Wiederkehr and her husband, Steve, Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Tabitha Lambert and her husband, Darrell, New Port Richey, Fla, Anthony Berkshire, Spring Hill, Fla., Kayleigh and Kevin Reed, New Harmony, and Eric, Megan and Cory Rozzi, Logansport; stepgrandchildren, Justin, Jamie and Jacob Zell, Logansport, and Tracy, Jennifer and Lori Pytlik, Bloomington; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Berkshire, Jasmin Berkshire and Brayden Berkshire; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Emily, Terra, Jessica and Kate Pytlik; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Rodney Edward Miner, and one great-grandchild, Jayden Berkshire, preceded in death.
The Rev. Joel Blanton will officiate at the services. Burial, with full military rites, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
