Frederick L. Hines, 74, of Logansport passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 in his daughters residence near Galveston.
Born November 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Sherald Kenneth and Florence (March) Hines. On February 9, 1973 in Walton, he married Beverly A. Quillen who survives.
Fred retired from Chrysler after 31 years of service.
He was a 1956 graduate of Kewanna High School and also has two years of college at Ivy Tech. Fred was a member of Anoka United Methodist Church, and former Vice President of the Pioneer Auto Club. He enjoyed cars, riding motorcycles, woodworking, collecting tractors, painting, and spending time with friends and family.
Surviving along with his wife is one daughter, Denise Ann (David) Young, Galveston; five sons, Randy Lee (Annette) Hines, Kokomo; James Michael (Andrea) Hines Sr., Peru; Roger Dale (Vicky) Hines, Macy; Keith Allen Woolley, Kokomo; and Robert L. Hines Sr., Fulton; fifteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth James Hines and Roger Dale Hines.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Anoka United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Rife officiating. Burial will follow in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
