Frederick Peter

Frederick L. Peter, 93, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday October 16, 2019 in Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born August 29, 1926 in Cass County to the late Clark Allen and Lucile (Tredway) Peter. On November 23, 1947 in Cass County he married Martha Viola Dillman who preceded him in death on February 19, 2014.

Fred was a long-time farmer and member of Cornith Brethren Church. He was an Army Veteran of WW2, serving in the South Pacific and was an avid carpenter.

Survivors include one daughter, Melanie (Tony) Wickersham, Kokomo, IN; one son, Dennis (Becky) Peter, Nyona Lake, IN; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Craig) Thomsen, Alaska; Amanda (Tom) Coldiron, St. Peters, MO; Trista (Jeremy) Pickett, Logansport, IN; three grandsons, Tad and Lake Wickersham, Indianapolis, IN; Bryce (Laura) Nolen, Knoxville, TN; five great granddaughters, Madison, Marissa and Autumn Pickett, Logansport, IN; Sheila Thomsen, Alaska; Helen Coldiron, St. Peters, MO;  one great grandson, Thomas Coldiron Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcia Cook, one brother, Raymond Peter and one sister, Geraldine Hauser.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 am Saturday October 19, 2019 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Dr. Cole Westwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Brethren Cemetery near Twelve Mile, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 pm Friday October 18, 2019 and 1-hour prior to services on Saturday in the funeral home.
