Garth Smith

Rev. Garth D. Smith, 95 of Logansport passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Millers Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on December 24, 1917, he was the son of the late Charles Edgar and Nettie Marie Bender Smith. On June 27, 1987 in Logansport, Indiana he married Beverly J. Lamunion who survives.

Mr. Smith was a retired minister serving for many churches in Michigan.
Surviving with his wife are two step-sons, Jay (Vickie Fawn) Stratton, and Michael Dean (Janet) Stratton both of Logansport; one step-daughter, Loretta Lynn (James F.) Carey, Intersection City, FL; six step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and eight sisters

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom DeFries officiating. Burial will be in Kewanna I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Kewanna, IN.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
