George Ebey

George Rodney Ebey, 69, Logansport, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2011, at the Marion VA Nursing Home, Marion.

Born May 8, 1941, in Logansport, he was the son of George Harold Ebey and Clara Pierce.

George was a painter and interior decorator.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are sister, Pat Slusher and husband, Jerry, Logansport; nephew, Jerry Slusher and wife, Daphne, Logansport; niece, Terri Clem and husband, John, Logansport; great-nephews and great-niece, Ryan Clem and Derek Clem, both of Lafayette, Jaclyn Slusher, Franklin, and Jacob Slusher, Logansport.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating.

Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
