George Sturgeon

George Sturgeon, 75, Logansport, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence.

Born June 10, 1937, in Delphi, he was the son of Milo R. Sturgeon and Irene M. Zimmerman. He was married May 10, 1959, in Logansport, to Catherine L. Bodell.

He was a retired foreman for Thompson Enterprises.

He enjoyed fishing, wood working, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Sturgeon, Logansport; daughter, Deb Hyman and Dave Somers, Stonelake, Wis.; son, William A. Sturgeon and wife, Roberta, Logansport; sister, Helen Grandstaff, Logansport; brother, David Sturgeon and wife, Linda, Onward; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Hulsizer; and one brother, John Sturgeon.

There will be no services or visitation.
