Gerald Bechke

Gerald W. Bechke, 58 of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his residence.

Born on July 28, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Jennie (Camloh) Bechke. On June 28, 1976 in Logansport he married Connie S. Bebout who survives.

Gerald worked as a correctional officer for the Cass County Jail.
He was a 1974 graduate of Bedford High School in Ohio. Gerald was a United States Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife are three daughters, Jamie (Klint) Grauel, Walton, IN; Heather (Carl) Mersch, Lucerne, IN; and Jenny Bechke, Logansport; eleven grandchildren, Taylor, Michelle, Kaleb, and Kaytlynn Grauel; Seth Davis; Dakota and Jordan Elliott; Bailey, Brenton, Brandalynn, and Beau Mersch; two brothers, John (Joy) Bechke, Ohio; Jeff (Melissa) Bechke, Georgia; two sisters, Jackie (Dave) German Florida; Janice Furlong, South Carolina.
A celebration of life with full Military Rites will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, May 19, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Dr. George Plasterer officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans House in Indianapolis.
