Services for Gerald E. Buskirk, 85, formerly of 1118 High St., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died at 3:35 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born July 21, 1920, in Cass County, he was the son of Emmett and Mary Tressa Kinzie Buskirk. He was married Sept. 6, 1947, in Kewanna, to Phyllis A. Troutman, who preceded in death June 4, 2004.

Mr. Buskirk was a retired brakeman. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired in 1981 from Conrail Railroad. He also was a bus driver for Woodlawn Center, driving the bowling team for Woodlawn.

Gerald was a member of River of Life Christian Church and the Rochester Moose Lodge.

Surviving are two daughters, Jane Buskirk, and Linda L. Klinck and her husband, David, all of Logansport; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Kaaren Baumgartner, Greenwood, and Bill and Kathy Buskirk, Springfield, Ill.; one sister, Wilda Elaine Crippen, Fairfax Station, Va.; grandchildren, Zachary Klinck and his wife, Tammy, Southhaven, Miss., Nathanial Klinck, Liisi Brien and her husband, David, and Alex Baumgartner, all of Indianapolis, Maggie Peters and her husband, Matthew, St. Louis, and Megan, Mary Katherine and Kristen Buskirk, all of Springfield, Ill.; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and Sarah Klinck, all of Southhaven, Miss.

Three sisters, Marjorie O. Robbins, Gladys Patton and Donna Crull, preceded in death.

The Rev. W. Frank Hibbard will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
