Glenn Hollis Coffman, 87, of Logansport, passed away Sunday July 5, 2015 at 9:46 pm in Millers Merry Manor of Logansport.
Born July 17, 1927 in Frankfort Indiana, he was the son of the late Linden Arthur and Edith (Biddle) Coffman.
Glenn was first married in 1947 in Frankfort, IN to Jacquelyn A. Walters, who preceded in death. Glenn's second marriage was on May 2, 1986 in Logansport to Lois June Cook who survives.
Glenn retired from the Monon Railroad in 1985 after 32 years of service. Glenn was a WW2 Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #60 and a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who really enjoyed being outdoors. The family claims he enjoyed collecting just plain stuff. He could also play several musical instruments by ear and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Other survivors include two daughters, Suzi (Ed) Sites, Lafayette, IN ;Joyce Ann (Greg) Gill, Florida; three sons, Glenn A. (Teresa) Coffman, Kirklin, IN; Larry Gene (Becky) Coffman, Frankfort, IN; William Coffman, Kirklin, IN; three step children, Mark Eugene Kistler, Bunker Hill, IN; Barbara Lynn Taylor, Logansport, IN; Allison (Rick) Andersen, Valparaiso, IN; three brothers, Marvin Coffman, Frankfort, IN; Keith Coffman, Frankfort, IN; Max Coffman, Mulberry, IN; 13 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
One step son, Chuck Kistler, preceded in death.
A Funeral Service with full Military Rites will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday July 8, 2015 In Gundrum Funeral Home with Dr. George Plasterer and Pastor Jason Coffman officiating. There will be a graveside service held at 3:00PM Wednesday in the Bunnell Cemetery near Frankfort, IN.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of services on Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
