Goldie I. Johnson
Services for Goldie I. Johnson, 96, Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 11:47 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, in Chase Convalescent Center.
Born Jan. 4, 1911, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of George and Edith Fry Beeler. On May 30, 1930, she was married in Logansport to Joyce Johnson. He preceded in death Dec. 23, 1962.
In 1975, she retired from RBM after 30 years with the Logansport company.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Charles Knox and Mary and Jim Hayden, all of Logansport; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl âEdâ and Pat Johnson, Royal Center; one brother, Robert Beeler, Logansport; five grandchildren, Connie Taylor and her husband, Fred, Bill Hayden and his wife, Peggy, Lisa Hunt and her husband Paul, all of Logansport, Kelly Johnson and his wife Betsy, Chicago, Ill., and Jennifer Boerger and her husband Jim, Racine, Wis.; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Four sisters, one brother and one grandson, Michael Johnson, also preceded in death.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Keith Schreffler will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
