Grace Goin

LOGANSPORT — Grace E. Goin, 94, Logansport, died at 1:49 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at her residence.

She was born March 20, 1918, in Logansport to Bruce Shaver and Elizabeth Caldwell. She married Lester G. Goin on Feb. 7, 1953, in Logansport. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1987.

She was a homemaker and former employee of Maibens Laundry. Grace enjoyed making dolls and doll clothes. She enjoyed fishing, knitting, sewing, listening to old record albums and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Harrison Hellyer, Logansport, Phyllis Conklin and husband Robert, Burnettsville, and Bonnie Clayburn and husband Brian, Lockport; one son, William L. Hunter and wife Susan, Logansport; two step daughters, Shirley Strasser, Florida and Carol Clark, Delphi; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia McDonald, one stepson, Lester Goin, two brothers, five sisters and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home. The Rev. David Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Wednesday.
