Services for Gretchen Rivers, 75, Logansport, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2008, in her residence.
Born Dec. 10, 1932, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Millard âPeteâ and Marr Conn Rhody. She was married April 15, 1955, in Logansport, to Harold âLinkâ Rivers, who survives.
Gretchen retired from Switches Inc.
She loved spending time with friends and family at the lake, but her greatest joy came from being with brothers and sisters, sons and daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are sons, Greg Fisher and wife, Deb, and Steve Rivers and wife, Jacqueline, all of Logansport; daughter, Deb Martin and husband, Mark, Phoenix; brothers, Max Rhody and wife, Nancy, Las Vegas, and Jack Rhody and wife, Bonnie, Royal Center; sister, Patsy Jeroski, Largo, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer Lowe, Ryan Fisher, Kyle Rivers, Amy Rivers, Megan Martin, Matt Martin, Ashley Martin, Taylor Martin and Kelsey Martin; two great-grandchildren, Emma Lowe and Mallory Eldridge; and 20 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Carol Rhody, Imogene Strauch, Georgie Swisher and Phyllis Achepohl, and three brothers, Fred Rhody, John Rhody and Millard âMoeâ Rhody.
Dr. Horace Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmaus Mission Center and to The Salvation Army.
