Services for H. Lucille Michael, 89, Logansport, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 6:55 a.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
Born June 27, 1920, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Everett L. and Amanda E. Porter Rice. She was married June 27, 1951, in Logansport, to Andrew J. Michael, who preceded in death in April 1969.
Lucille retired from Switches Inc. and had also worked at the RBM.
She was a past president of the American Legion Post 60 Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3790 Ladies Auxiliary. Lucille enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the gambling boats and Friday night suppers, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters, Judith Flory, Logansport, Carol Shivley, Logansport, and Alice (Raymond) Meeks, Galveston; son, Randy Michael, Logansport; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, William L. Michael; and one brother, Donald L. Rice.
Pastor Aaron Gross will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
