Harold G. "Duke" Liming, 88, of Logansport, passed away Saturday morning, September 6, 2014 in his residence.
Duke was born on Aug. 20, 1926 in Keithsburg, IL to the late Jesse Leo and Emma "Crager" Liming. On March 5, 1960 in Logansport he married Marilyn Heiny who survives.
Duke worked in construction for thirty five years as the former owner of Liming and Son Builders. He was a Korean War Veteran serving with the 145th field artillery battalion from 1950 - 1952. He was a Past Master of Twelve Mile Masonic Lodge, member of Royal Center Masonic Lodge, Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and America Legion Post #3790.
Duke enjoyed time with his family, vacationing, traveling and spending the winter months in Florida.
Survivors include his wife and one son, Alan (Beth) Liming, Logansport; two grandsons, Corey Liming, Rochester and Bryant Liming of Logansport.
Duke was preceded i n death by his parents and one brother, Alfred Laverne Liming.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Raderstorf officiating.
Burial with full military rites will be in the Metea cemetery.
Visitation hours will be from 4 - 8 pm Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Twelve Mile Volunteer Fire Department/Rescue or the Cass County 4-H Fair Association
