Reverend Harry A. Roselle Jr., age 57, of Deer Creek, IN, passed away at his residence on Sunday August 25, 2024. 

Born January 15, 1967, in Manhattan, NY to the late Dr. Harry A. and Joan (Stewart) Roselle. 

Harry’s youth was molded by his love of running, his membership in church (Tenafly Presbyterian) and his family. Harry graduated from Tenafly high school and went on to join the Okonite Cable Company (following in his grandfather, Archie Stewart’s footsteps) and going to Montclair State University at night to earn his BS degree in Industrial Management. He was promoted to the head office of Okonite in 1998 where he met his wife Susan I. Schenk and they married on February 27, 1999, in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey and have been together for 25 years.

In 2001 Harry went on to work his boyhood dream job as a trainman on the River Line of CSX Freight Railroad. In 2008 Harry fully committed his life to God and entered Alliance Theological Seminary School and received his Master of Divinity degree. He interned at Community Presbyterian Church in Ringwood , NJ and served as pulpit supply for the Presbyterian Church of Paterson, NJ, Living Waters of Suffern, NY and New Milford Baptist Church of NJ.

In 2014 Harry was ordained and accepted his first call as pastor at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church in Deer Creek, IN where he served until his passing. Harry will be remembered for his encyclopedic knowledge, but especially for his kind pastoral heart which touched so many lives.

Harry is survived by his wife Susan Roselle, Deer Creek, IN; mother, Joan Roselle, Tenafly, NJ; two sisters, Laura (Clyde Ellis) Roselle, Gibsonville, NC and her family Savanah (Nathan) Tuttle, Simon Tuttle, Finn Tuttle, Olivia Helvey and Clay Tuttle; and sister, Carol Roselle, Mendocino, CA; mother-in-law, Barbara Schenk; brother-in-law, Joseph (Michele) Schenk and his family, Joe (Susan) Schenk, Bella, Elijah, Kristen (Matt) Schrapp and Anna; brother-in-law, Christopher (Cindy) Schenk and family, Brittany Raecke, Liam, Landon, Chris (Tara) Schenk, Henry, Charlotte, Luna, Kelly (Mike) Kazmierczak, Mia, Michael, Matthew (Hilliary) Schenk; sister-in-law, Barbara (Scott) Branch and family, Andrew Branch & Molly Mclane, Sarah (Nick) Cavaliere, Charlotte, Elliott and his extended church family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Harry A. Roselle Sr. and father-in-law, Joseph Schenk.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday August 31, 2024, at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church with Pastor Michael Munson officiating.

The family will receive guests from 11:00 am until time of services on Saturday at the church. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.
